You can import each file in other Logic projects edit it without affecting the audio in the previous project — unless you use destructive editing. If you make any edits in the Audio File Editor of one Logic projects, it will change the audio file in all the Logic projects the original audio is used in.
Most of which can be done in the Arrangement Window where you perform non-destructive editing more on this later. But edits such as removing pops and clicks, setting accurate crossover points for looped playback or correcting phase cancellation errors are best down in the Audio File Editor.
These corrective edits are usually permanent.

There were twelve files. Eleven disappeared ,the one left says that it is 8 bit. The files are also gone from the project folder. Well crap.

I frde the same thing a few years ago. I ended up re-recording the session. This seems to be a universal fix when things are behaving in an odd way in OS X. Apparently it is recommended after ANY installation. I don't know if this will save the bad files, but I have never had the same thing happen again. A tip; Use an internal drive for recording.

A friend helped me читать when I had this problem. He said that Logic forgets to close the file header when it shuts down. Instead of doing all the extra work. I am just going to export the stems as they iin and then import into a new session. A 24 bit vocal file was suddenly appearing as an unreadable 8-bit file, after closing the project and reopening a short time later. Fortunately, fins was a duplicate I was working with, so I didn't lose the original.
I've been browsing some of the threads about this and some are pointing finger at the use of FAT formatted hard drives, but that wasn't the case for me.
